Answers to Your Questions

Check our FAQ section for all the information you need regarding applications, selection process and the services offered by Top Kids.

How does the agency work?

The agency plays a key role in coordinating the demands of the fashion, advertising, and film industry for the baby, child, and teen sectors with the families of the models it represents. Every day we receive casting requests from verified and trustworthy clients with specific requirements regarding physical characteristics, sizes, and age. Our job is to select and propose the most suitable models for each brief, keeping the families of the selected candidates informed and providing all the necessary details about the different shootings.
In addition to the talents we represent, we are constantly looking for new faces to join our TOP KIDS team, carefully evaluating each application to offer opportunities to rising young talents.

How can I register my child with your agency?

The first essential step is submitting the application. By reviewing photos, measurements, and details of your child, we can determine if they could be a good fit for our agency. Please fill out the application form available on our website at this link.
ONLY if selected, you will be contacted 📞 within 7 days, and we will provide you with further details about the collaboration.
Registration with the agency includes signing a promotion contract and paying a one-time entry fee of €100.00 + VAT.

What type of photos should I attach to my child's application?

The photos submitted with the application help us evaluate your child. They should be recent, well-lit, and of good quality, but do not need to be taken by a professional photographer.
We recommend including:
✔ A close-up (face)
✔ A mid-length shot
✔ A full-body shot
✔ A profile
This gives us a complete view of their appearance and physique.

🚫 Avoid:
• Blurry or distant images
• Group photos where the child is not clearly visible
• Pictures where the child is eating, doing sports, or wearing costumes
• Sunglasses or hairstyles that cover the face
• Hats that obscure the hair

I’ve submitted my child’s application—what happens next? Are they now registered with the agency?

Once we receive all the information and photos, we review the application and decide if your child has real opportunities ✅❌.
Within 7 days we only contact the parents of selected children to discuss the next steps and explain how the agency works.
If you are not contacted, it means your child was not selected at this time, and they are not registered with the agency. However, you are welcome to reapply in the future. Sometimes certain age groups or characteristics are not in demand at a particular time but opportunities may arise later as the kids grow or if a specific casting matches their profile.

Once my child is registered with the agency, will they get a lot of jobs?

Being a model is not a full-time profession for a child. While we hope they will have a lot of great experiences, we cannot predict how often they will be selected or how many job assignments they will get. The final decision always depends on the client and market demand.
However, we carefully select and represent our young talents, ensuring real opportunities arise! Stay positive and regularly update your child’s new measurements and photos at scouting@topkidsagency.com.

My child already has experience/is registered with another agency. Can I still apply?

You can submit an application, but our agency requires exclusive representation for Italy and Switzerland. If selected, your child must not have any existing contracts with other agencies in these countries.

Do you only work in children's fashion, or do you operate in other sectors?

Top Kids specializes in children’s fashion, but our clients also come from the advertising, film, and the show business industries.

Where and for how long do your clients’ shootings take place?

Shootings take place in various cities across Italy and Europe 🌍.
We generally select children who are available to travel, whether by public transportation or private vehicle. Travel expenses and reimbursements are arranged according to each project, along with the child’s compensation.
📆 Shootings may occur on different days, including weekdays and weekends.
We ask for flexibility from parents or guardians who accompany the child.
⏳ The duration of a shoot varies: some require just a few hours, while others may take multiple days, depending on the production schedule. All activities comply with legal regulations regarding child labor laws.

Is your office only in Milan?

Yes, our only office is in Milan, but we select children from all over Italy and the EU.
We enjoy meeting our models in person, but this is not mandatory for collaboration.
Shootings take place in various locations, and our agency is not physically present on every set. However, we are always available for assistance and support 🤩.

Do children need to be accompanied only by their parents?

A child must always be accompanied by an adult, preferably a parent or legal guardian, both for castings and shootings.
If the parent or guardian is unavailable, another trusted adult or relative can accompany the child with a written authorization.
